Despite ongoing global uncertainty, leading businesses are not pulling back on climate action. At World Climate & Biodiversity Summit 2025, held during Climate Week NYC, we spoke with Vincent Charpiot, Capgemini’s Head of Group Sustainability Business Accelerator, about what’s really happening inside large organisations today.
In his interview, Vincent shared key insights from Capgemini’s A World in Balance 2025 report, highlighting that nearly 70% of major companies are holding firm on their net-zero targets while increasing investment to deliver them. He also noted a clear shift in mindset: sustainability is no longer seen as a cost, but as a driver of performance—unlocking cost reduction, productivity gains and revenue growth.
With climate impacts already disrupting operations, Vincent emphasised that climate risk is now treated as a core business risk, with resilience embedded into enterprise risk management and powered by responsible use of data, AI and digital tools.
