Impact Through Dialogue, Partnerships and Investments
We recognise that to confront the climate and biodiversity crises we need faster action and delivery alongside targets aligned with the Paris Agreement on Climate Change and the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
World Climate Foundation specialises in bringing public and private decision-makers together with the purpose of creating high ambitions and deploying sustainable policies, investments and solutions - informed by science, best practice and experience.

Organisations
By establishing the World Climate Foundation, our aim is to create an organisation that will have systemic impact on the global transition to a net-zero and clean economy.
-
Developing and running environmental impact platforms in line with the Paris Agreement on Climate Change and the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals
-
Providing an international growth engine for new impact organisations that can accelerate the transition of businesses and markets in line with environmental stewardship
Context
There is a narrowing 10 year window of opportunity to halve emissions to ensure that global temperatures stay within the limits of the Paris Agreements on Climate Change for net-zero before 2050. While the biodiversity arena is still building institutions for target setting and public-private collaboration, the threats from biodiversity loss are nonetheless just as imminent and important.
Addressing Every Need
Major stakeholders need to work in partnership over the next decade to transform to cleaner industries and solutions for the climate and biodiversity crises. Increased pressure from new generations of consumers and voters and the emergence of new technologies and disruptive business models are market drivers for change in an otherwise slow but needed political process of change.
Current Trends
-
People increasingly formulate progressive demands with the aim to influence governments’ and businesses’ policies.
-
Climate policies are pivoting from the international level to the regional and national levels.
-
Businesses are transitioning from strategic positioning to real de-carbonisation in their operations and broader value chain.
-
Investors are required to clean-up existing and establish new sustainable investment portfolios.
