We are looking for an energetic, motivated and diligent individual interested in a full-time internship lasting 6 months. You will support the Project Management team in project development and coordination, stakeholder engagement, high-level event execution, and other ad hoc tasks.
Our work is very much driven by facilitating large-scale collaboration between governments, businesses, financial institutions and international organisations. Therefore you, first of all, are a good communicator and connect well with people of all levels. You are outgoing in the sense that you take initiative, are not afraid to pick up the phone and talk to people. You have a strategic and analytic mindset and passion for collaboration and coordination across various departments in the organisation as well as keen interest for climate and/or biodiversity topics, including climate finance, clean energy, transport, natural capital and much more.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Assist the Project Management team in project development stages
Maintain and update working project databases and plans
Provide active role and use critical judgment in the development of all project deliverables
Assist with the preparation of partnership proposals and agreements
Develop programme documents (session notes, briefings, outcome reports etc.)
Liaise with clients and partners to identify and define project deliverables and provide ongoing engagement support
Identify and maintain new global and local partnerships relevant for the project success
Organise and participate in required stakeholder meetings
Prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings
Assist with the preparation of partnership proposals, MoUs, agreement letters etc.
Assist with the recruitment of speakers for high-level events (collect contact information, schedule preparation calls)
Support the preparation and execution of high-level conferences together with logistics and programme teams
Provide active role in coordinating project status, updates and required input between internal departments
You will also assist the team in a number of additional tasks such as database maintenance, research, meeting notes, team travel plans, administration and other ad hoc tasks
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled at masters’ level at either a university or a business school
Excellent communications skills (both written and oral), fluency in English is a requirement
Excellent interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed environment under deadline pressures
Ability to manage own workload independently, multi-task and prioritize effectively
Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
Proactive and self-motivated with keen interest for taking initiative
IT proficiency, including Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
Strong knowledge of Climate Action and/or Global Biodiversity Framework
Knowledge of Public-Private Partnerships and International Politics considered a strong advantage
Project management experience considered strong advantage
Previous experience in event coordination considered an advantage
