We are looking for a motivated individual interested in a full-time internship lasting 6 months. You will support the project management team in programme and content development, international partnership coordination, speaker recruitment and engagement, high-level event execution, logistics and other ad hoc tasks. 

 

Our work is very much driven by establishing relations and partnerships with many different stakeholders across sectors. Therefore you, first of all, are a good communicator and connect well with people of all levels. You are outgoing in the sense that you take initiative, are not afraid to pick up the phone and talk to people, you have a strategic mindset and passion for various climate and/or health-related topics,  including climate finance, clean energy, transport, and much more. 

 

We are currently looking to recruit 2 interns: 

Content & Collaboration Coordinator with a specific focus on Climate Solutions 

Content & Collaboration Coordinator with a specific focus on Biodiversity Solutions

 

Tasks and Responsibilities:  

  • Assist the Management team in concept and programme development  

  • Maintain existing relationships with a wide variety of organisations and stakeholders 

  • Identify and maintain new global and local partnerships with public and private sector organisations  

  • Assist with the preparation of partnership proposals and agreements  

  • Recruit and manage speakers for high-level events (collect contact information, schedule preparation calls) 

  • Support the preparation and execution of high-level conferences together with logistics and programme teams 

  • Develop programme documents (concept notes, session notes, briefings etc.) 

  • Maintain and update working project databases and plans 

  • Support on the content creation for the digital platforms and newsletters 

  • Support with communications and marketing 

  • You will also assist the team in a number of additional tasks such as database maintenance, research, meeting notes, team travel plans, administration and other ad hoc tasks 

Qualifications:  

  • Currently enrolled at masters’ level at either a university or a business school or recent graduate  

  • Excellent communications skills (both written and oral), fluency in English is a requirement 

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills 

  • Well organised, proactive, self-motivated and flexible with the ability to work independently, as well as part of a larger team 

  • Comfortable coordinating multiple projects at once while demonstrating excellent time management and organisational skills in a fast-paced, deadline driven team environment 

  • Knowledge of Climate Change, International Politics and Public-Private Partnerships 

  • IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) 

  • Previous experience in project coordination considered a strong advantage 

  • Previous experience in event coordination considered a strong advantage 

  • Experience in content writing is a plus

Looking for meaningful projects and the opportunity to play an active role in the climate and sustainability field?  

Are you an ambitious person with a passion for communication and marketing and a desire to learn more about climate solutions? 

Then you might just be the one we are looking for! 

Interning with World Climate Foundation will give you a chance to join a rapidly growing international organisation that is actively contributing to the necessary transformation that addresses the climate, biodiversity and biosecurity crises. Additionally, to work alongside inspiring leaders from government, business, financial institutions and civil society that are leading the way and shaping our future. 

We are looking for a goal-oriented and driven person to join our fast-moving and international team for a 6-month full-time internship. You will support and contribute actively to the communications of several high-level projects and international climate, biodiversity and biosecurity events. This internship will allow you to develop key skills needed in preparing strategic communications plans, copywriting, content development and coordination, stakeholder engagement, effective B2B communication and much more. 

Tasks and Responsibilities (These can vary depending on your qualifications and ambitions):

  • Support our communications team in developing and implementing communications strategies that align with the World Climate Foundation’s objectives 

  • Copywriting and editing across our external communications channel, including websites, newsletters, social media (organic and paid) and our digital event platform 

  • Social media management, including community management and monitoring 

  • Website management 

  • Engage key audiences through social media, measuring and reporting on performance 

  • Source and coordinate ongoing communication with project managers and partners 

  • Coordinate communication and marketing deliverables for our members and partners, including interviews, thought leadership pieces and social media content 

  • Assist key account managers with communication inquiries from partners 

  • Assist with the coordination and updates of sales brochures and other promotional materials, including proofreading 

  • Assist with setting up workflows and processes to strategise and optimise partner content on our channels ( relevant working project databases, systems and plans) 

  • Assist with on-the-day communication activities during our in-person and digital events 

  • Coordinate and execute live interviews with c-level partners at our events 

  • Perform research and market analysis activities as needed 

  • Support on ad hoc communications and administrative tasks, including minor graphic tasks 

  • Maintain and update working project databases, systems and plans 

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled at masters’ level at either a university or a business school or recent graduate  in e.g. communications, marketing, media studies or journalism 

  • Excellent communications skills (both written and oral), fluency in English is a requirement 

  • Strong copywriting and editing skills  

  • Deep understanding of current digital marketing strategies and tools, including social media platforms 

  • A creative and visual eye is an advantage (experience with the Adobe CC package is a plus) 

  • Previous experience with website management (we use Wix) is a strong advantage 

  • Previous experience with digital marketing and PR is an advantage 

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills 

  • Well-organised, proactive, self-motivated and flexible with the ability to work independently, as well as part of a larger team 

  • Comfortable coordinating multiple projects at once, while demonstrating excellent time management and organisational skills in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment 

  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner with press and community contacts  

  • IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SoMe management tools and CMS systems 

  • Experience or interest in climate, biodiversity and/or biosecurity is considered a strong advantage
